Project Scope
Fast - track construction of new, high - image Manhattan headquarters. Project involved complete demolition, taking existing space back to the base building's steel and concrete structure. New construction included office and support facilities on the company's 105h and 11th floors.
Project Goals and Challenges
The aggressive move - in- schedule dictated construction completion in less than two months. Extensive millwork and custom detailing required close coordination between architect and construction trades. New connecting stair necessitated cutting and removing the existing floor slab.
Solutions Achieved
Construction was completed in seven weeks through strategic approach to long - lead items. To accelerate the fabrication process, cabinetwork was constructed in the field, An existing shaft was closed to gain usable floor space. |
